Led by Executive Chef Ken Lumpkin, The Franklin spotlights local seafood and farmers, reimagining familiar favorites by fusing Japanese, French and Southern cuisines.
The menu offers delicious food and unexpected but incredibly pleasing flavor combinations, unlike any other restaurant along the Forgotten Coast.
Our name is a tribute to the hotel’s rich history—the Gibson Inn was originally called The Franklin when it was first opened in 1907.
The Parlor Bar at The Gibson Inn
A can’t-miss destination among Apalachicola natives and visitors alike, the Parlor Bar has served as the local watering hole since its original opening in 1907.
Step back in time and experience Florida as it once was, enjoy a craft cocktail, locally-brewed beer or artisanal wine in the vibrant Parlor Bar. If you prefer, grab your drink and head outside to the alluring wrap-around porch. Leisurely sip your cocktail on a cozy white rocking chair or snag a table to enjoy with friends, new and old. Join us for happy hour, served daily from 5pm-7pm.
