The Franklin is Apalachicola’s newest culinary destination, located in the historic Gibson Inn.
Led by Executive Chef Ken Lumpkin and Chef Breeze Lambert, The Franklin spotlights local seafood and farmers, reimagining familiar favorites by fusing Japanese, French and Southern cuisines.
The menu offers delicious food and unexpected but incredibly pleasing flavor combinations, unlike any other restaurant along the Forgotten Coast.
Our name is a tribute to the Gibson Inn’s rich history—the hotel’s original restaurant was called The Franklin Cafe when it was first opened in 1907.

A can’t-miss destination among Apalachicola natives and visitors alike, the Parlor Bar has served as the local watering hole since its original opening in 1907.
Step back in time and experience Florida as it once was, enjoy a craft cocktail, locally-brewed beer or artisanal wine in the vibrant Parlor Bar. If you prefer, grab your drink and head outside to the alluring wrap-around porch. Leisurely sip your cocktail on a cozy white rocking chair or snag a table to enjoy with friends, new and old.
